Excited About Future
The Bible says without a vision the people perish. Over eight years ago, Ben Scroggs and his brother Chuck Scroggs envisioned a company that would promote only the best and brightest artists and ministries in Christian Country music. With prayer and God's direction, CCMNOW LLC was founded.
Ben states, "it's been exciting to see where God has brought us in eight years. There have been many times I wanted to quit, but the calling wouldn't let me." Ben ads, "First and foremost, this has never been a venture to make empty promises to artists, or get in their pocket books."
Ben explains that over the last eight years the company has seen its ups and downs, but most of all, they want to see the Kingdom of God increased, and the best artists promoted.
Ben is no stranger to the Christian music industry. He began traveling in 1996 with a southern gospel trio founded by Rick Shelton, now the director of publishing at Daywind Records in Nashville, TN. Ben then began a fulltime solo career in 2001 which bloomed into the founding of the Inheritance Trio. Inheritance traveled over eight years singing 150 plus dates a year, while also signing a recording contract with then based Hendersonville, TN company Eddie Crook.
Ben, also an accomplished songwriter has seen many of his songs in the top 80 charts in Southern gospel music, with 2 of them reaching the top 30. In 2008, he wrote "No Back Roads," that reached #2 on the Christian Country Charts in Nashville.
"The future is bright with Christian Country Music, and I'm glad CCMnow can help in any way God will allow," Ben said.
Hendersonville, TN (November 16, 2015) –With radio often filled with unwholesome messages, listeners are looking for stations with music that can be enjoyed by the entire family, RadioGC brings you an original format filled with uplifting and spiritual music from the Country, CCM, and Gospel genres, with the production quality of mainstream radio. "I was taught that God deserves our best, so if we're given a gift, we should give it back in excellence," says Micah Schweinsberg, part of the father-son duo who birthed the concept of RadioGC along with music industry veteran, Dottie Leonard Miller.
Both Rick and Micah Schweinsberg have had extensive radio experience. Rick began his radio career as an Operations Manager and DJ for WPAY in Portsmouth, Ohio, in 1985, and finished out his radio service with WXIC in Waverly, Ohio before bringing his talents to Nashville. Micah worked part-time as a Program Director and DJ for RadioU in Wheelersburg, Ohio, through his student years at Ohio University.
"Our mission is to carry the Gospel to the world through this incredible mix of music delivered right into the hands of the people through modern technology. If we feel a song by an artist fits that target, we will play it, regardless of genre," shares Micah. "You might hear an artist like Josh Turner followed by Big Daddy Weave. Somehow it just works!" Along with the vast genre-crossing song selection, the programming also features engaging commentary by the DJs, as well as a short family-friendly comedy segment each hour. Reviews have been pouring in from people all over the world who are listening to this unique mix.
Rick comments, "we're looking to break new ground and leave a trail, putting a format together that is so compelling that listeners will help spread the word to a hurting world.”
RadioGC’s app can be downloaded for free on any smartphone. A live stream can be accessed on RadioGC.com.
